Our Story

My name is Wasim. I never thought I would reach a point in life where I would have to ask the world for help… but today, I have no other option left.

I was born with a weak, disabled leg. As I grew older, the pain and weakness became worse. Now, I cannot walk properly, cannot stand for long, and I cannot do heavy labor. I want to work… I try every day… but my disability does not allow me to earn even a small daily wage.

The only support I have in this world is my elderly mother.

She is old, weak, and tired—yet she sits beside me every day, praying for a miracle. She wipes her tears quietly so I don’t see her worrying.

We live together in a broken, old, poor home.

Some days there is no food.

Some days we sit in darkness because we cannot pay the electricity bill.

Some days my mother sacrifices her own meal just so I can eat.

No son wants to see his mother suffer like this.

But I am helpless… my disability does not let me provide for her.

One night, when we had no food, my mother said,

“Beta, I’m not hungry today… you eat.”

But I knew she was lying.

That moment shattered me inside.

A mother hides her pain, but a son can feel it.

This has become our life — a daily battle for survival.
